The Desk Behind This Casino Dene Guide

Cold Lake Casino tracks Casino Dene across the year, from short winter light to long summer evenings. The Two Seasons desk signs it, stays separate from the casino and handles no wagers.

The desk behind the pages

Every page of this guide, read by daylight or after dark, carries one signature: the Two Seasons desk. The desk writes each line as a group, and no single author is named anywhere. The guide also stands apart from the place it describes. It is not Casino Dene, not Cold Lake First Nations, not Hotel Dene and not AGLC, and no bets are placed through it.

No bets can be placed through these pages. Questions about the floor, the hours or a booking belong with the casino and the hotel themselves.

Winter or summer, letters for the Two Seasons desk go to write@coldlakecasino.online. A changed hour deserves a note. So does a distance that looks wrong, or a question about how the pages are made. The mailbox is the guide's own and reaches no one at Casino Dene. Anything meant for the casino itself goes by phone to 780-594-7900.

Sources, distances and daylight

Every fact in this guide was checked in October against Casino Dene's own pages, hoteldene.com, AGLC, the Alberta iGaming Corporation and the provincial help services. Distances are measured between OpenStreetMap points, in a straight line: 12.1 km to Cold Lake, 231.3 km to Edmonton. Roads are longer, and no drive times appear anywhere on the site.

The daylight figures come from the casino's coordinates, worked out for the 21st of each month. December comes to 7 h 18 min, June to 17 h 13 min. None of these numbers appear on the casino's own pages. The Two Seasons desk leaves out weather, road conditions, prices and event dates by choice.

Paid links, marked Ad

The Two Seasons desk confines paid links to the front page of Cold Lake Casino, and each carries the word Ad. They turn up there three times: as a button in the menu, as a panel following the opening screen, and once more close to the bottom of that front page. Whichever one a reader picks ends at one privately run online casino, and that operator pays Cold Lake Casino a commission. That partner goes unnamed in this guide and may one day be replaced by another. Cold Lake Casino vouches for none of this, and readers can test any operator against the AiGC listing at abigaming.ca.

How these images were made

Every picture in this guide comes from image software rather than a camera. Three show Casino Dene: its entrance on a winter night and two dishes served at Aurora Bar and Lounge. Each began from real photos of the place, then received a new angle and new light, with no people or cars. The lake, the roads and the frosted window are invented. No person appears in any picture.

No accounts, no forms

Cold Lake Casino has no accounts, forms or ad trackers. Cookie-free counting logs every visit, and an outside tool is handed each visitor's network address and browser name. It remembers two settings only: light or dark, and the season switch. Both last as long as the open browser tab and are stored nowhere else.
